This appears to be a hard to find early Pflueger Kent Frog Lure. It is wood hand painted in a frog pattern, with yellow glass eyes with black pupils. It has front and rear counter rotating blades that are marked “Trade Mark Registered U.S. Pat. Office” with a small logo with the letter “P” in a diamond. My 1981 book by Luckey states that this frog lure with glass eyes and a “P” in a diamond logo is a Pardee kent frog, which preceeded the Pflueger kent frog, but I haven’t found any collaboration for that. I also have not seen any pictures of a pflueger kent frog with the hooks attached as they are on this frog, as you can see in the pictures. I’ll leave it to you experts to figure out. The front blade is marked “R”, and the rear “L”. It has double belly mounted treble hooks that appear to be screwed in, or possibly wired through the body, which do not have metal cups, and a trailing treble hook.. The total length is 4 1/4″ with the hook extended, and the width with the hooks extended is 3 1/2″. The wood body is 1 7/8″ long and 1 3/8″ wide. The paint is in good condition on the top of the body with the exception of the apx. 1/8 inch piece missing by the left eye as pictured. The bottom and sides have some cracks but the paint is intact. The rear has paint loss for apx 1/4 inch radius of the rear hardware as pictured. Buyer to pay $5.30 for USPS postage plus insurance. International by USPS at cost.
