This neat, scarce, vintage, glass eyed, 5 inch, “Fish Spearing Decoy” was made by George W. Bolton (deceased) of Detroit, Michigan, who was the sole owner of the Detroit Bait Company. The circa is early 1920s. This neat fish decoy is sometimes referred as being the ABC Ice Decoy, because it utilized the same body as the companies unique ABC fishing lure with it’s 6 different colored interchangeable backs. This earliest model has an inch worm line tie, which allows the decoy to be fished at three different attitudes. The condition of this scarce 80 plus year old fish attractor is moderate in use wear. THIS IS A 1904 PATENTED KETCHUM’S FROG CASTING FRAME GANG IN THE ORIGINAL PICTURE BOX. THE BOX HAS SOME DAMAGE AND HAS WATER MARKS BUT STILL DISPAYS WELL WITH GOOD GRAPHICS AND IS EASILY READ. THE HARNESS ITSELF IS IN EXCELLANT CONDITION AND APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THE WATER.
