Here it is folks!A beautiful wooden Tackle Box with a load of boxed lures,wooden lures,reels,spinners,Some rare ones,A very practical lid with a number of fishing staples other than lures,line,or reels. The top is a compartment with cut-outs for a knife,measuring tape,deck of cards,pipe,pipe tobacco tin,first aid kit,scaler,and misc.items.Inside the box is a pull out tray with a plexi-glass sliding top and plexiglass bottom.The bottom part of the box is divided into 3 compartments for reels,line and boxed lures.Here is a partial list of the lures I have included.Please look at the pics. for a visual description and condition of lures. You are bidding on a vintage Shakespeare Aluminum Revolution collectible fishing lure. The lure is not painted, the finish is aluminum metal. The front body section is 2″ long, the rear body section is 7/8″ long. The body measures 3/4″ diameter at the widest point. The hardware is in good condition, it has two side mounted treble hooks, and one tail mounted treble hook. All the side hooks appear rust free, the tail hook has minimal rust. The front has a line pull centered on the nose. There are two propellers mounted between the body sections, each pitched to rotate in opposite directions. The front propeller is 1-1/2″ across, the rear propeller is 1-3/4″ across and is marked on one side with “WM. SHAKESPEARE JR., KALAMAZOO, MICH.”, and is marked on the other blade of the propeller with “PATENTED FEB. 5, 1901, APR. 9, 1901″. It is in very good to excellent condition overall. It measures about 4-1/2″ long including hardware. I have no way of dating it other than patent date. It weighs 0.7 ounces. With packaging it will ship at 6 ounces. Up for auction is a vintage Heddon Dowagiac Minnow and its wooden box. Box measures approx. 6 X 2 & 1/2 X 1 & 1/2 inches. Lures wooden part measures approx. 4 inches.

Box is in very good condition. The top of the box is faded, but somewhat readable. Sides and ends of box have far less fading and are easy to read. I have taken close up shots of the box. See photos.

Lure has some scratches. Lure overall is in very good conditiion. See photos.

Pamphlet is a single sheet and is titled “The Why of It!”. States some reasons why Heddon’s Dowagiac Minnow is superior to any of the many imitations on the market. Back of sheet has “Some of Our Fish Catchers”

For auction is a nice old Heddon Lure. “No.104 DOWAGIAC MINNOW” In Correct Wood Box. Circa 1908. Color red. Length 3″. Cup hardware. 3 hooks. Unmarked props. All hardware is clean and bright. Glass eyes are perfect. Their are age lines in the paint and some paint chipping at the end of the nose & end of the tail. It is obvious the paint is off the belly weight. Box is sound and has no breaks. Lid slides perfectly. Printing is barely legible on lid. Print on both sides is legible. Print on both ends of box is very legible. You are bidding on a vintage rare Winchester Multi-Wobbler wooden collectible fishing lures. Winchester produced lures between 1919 and 1931. This lure is a surface lure or could be an underwater swimmer, depending on how the planes are adjusted. It is a reverse running lure measuring 3-1/2″ long. The body measures 1″ diameter at the widest point. It is gold with brown on its back in color. It has some checking in the paint finish and a small chip next to the belly weight and a small chip at the line pull connection. It has glass eyes that apear excellent. The hardware is in very good condition, it has two belly mounted double hooks, cup type hardware, two adjustible planes, one marked WINCHESTER, TRADE MARK, and the other with 9202, the line pull is from the rear of the lure. Just looking at the hardware it would appear that it is un-fished. I would think this lure would be considered very good to excellent. It weighs 0.9 ounces. With packaging it will ship at 6 ounces. HAIRLINE CRACK ON RIGHT SIDE. SMALL BIT MISSING ON BELLY. ROUND RAISED MARK ON BELLY (SEE PICS).
