This auction is for a Heddon Dowagiac Spin Diver Lure. The wooden lure is a Series 3000, in in a desirable Frog Spot Color, Color Code B, has glass eyes and has L Rig hardware. The lure has a marked Front propeller, and a inscribed Diving lip under the front and is Circa mid 1920’s. The Spin Diver is a Classic and very sought after Heddon fishing lure. The lure is in nice condition with some varnish wear as shown. The lure would make a nice addition to any vintage or antique fishing lure collection.

Though James Heddon alone was not solely responsible for the success of his antique lure empire by any means. With the help and leadership of his sons William and Charles who was a sales mastermind. Heddon and Sons along with great inventors on the staff such as William Stolley, Heddon would revolutionize the fishing tackle industry, and certainly our hobby of collecting old and antique fishing lures forever.
